MixDouble has two main sections:
on the left are the controls for the four SampleFont players in four columns;
on the right are the envelope, pan and level controls for the players in four columns
like a mixing desk. The master volume control is at the far right. The vibrato rate and shape control is at the top left. |

Click on the black box to load
a SoundFont. MixDouble does not come with any SoundFonts, you must source
them yourself. The Tuneknob allows detuning for richer effects. The Highest and Lowest controls control the maximum and minimum notest that will be played. Actually, they set a range where an existing played voice will be used without retriggering the repeating sample (which continues looping) but retriggering the output ADSR. In some SoundFonts, these controls limit the range of notes that are played, allowing different players to take different note ranges. In other SoundFonts, this will act to extend the notes played beyond the range provided by the font, but without the SoundFonts dynamics: the notes may have a harder attack and different tone than expected. The Mono selecter determines whether to use the SoundFonts built-in stereo, or whether to use the panning providing by the Mixer section. |
