Juicer:  Phaser-like Effect

The Juicer produces an effect that the ear hears as a complex of phasing, stereo pans, echo and chorus, occassionally
coming together into a massive phase effect, yet without clouding the harmonic information the way echoes do.
There are six independent band-pass filters, three per stereo channel, each with independent low
frequency modulation, and a sample and hold unit for scintillation.

Range

The Low Limit and High Limit knobs set the maximum and minimum frequencies to which the effect applies.

Frequencies outside this range are passed from the input to the output unchanged.

Sweep

The Rate knob controls the sweep speed: how fast the band-pass filters change in frequency. Each filter has a slightly different speed.

The Centre Frequency knob sets the centre frequency of the band pass filters, before they are swept.

Resonance makes the effect sharper, but can also result in level surges.

Level is the level of the effect.

Sample and Hold

For additional scintillation, the Juicer filter frequencies can be modulated by a Sample and Hold module.  This effect can also add extra pulses into a sound, like a subtle trance gate.

The Wave button selects the low frequency wave to be sampled.

The Clock button selects which division of the MIDI clock will be used to gate the sampling.

The Rate  control sets the frequency of the low-frequency wave to be sampled.

The Depth control sets how much modulation can be applied.
